The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) opened its Consular Offices at SM Manila, Megamall and Robinsons Galleria. This is for the convenience of those that aren't near the main office in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

Don't get to excited and rush to those DFA Offices because they will not accommodate you if you don't have an appointment. So, to set an appointment, click here.

Take time to read the reminders specially if this is your first time to apply for a passport (like me). Fill up the application form, set the date & time of your appointment and confirm the email they will send you.

It's already 12:30pm when I reached Mall of Asia and rushed to the Music Hall for the Belle de Jour Fair 2012 hoping not to be late. Luckily, I made it in time for the Bloggers Extraordinaire seminar. Wiw! It might be a lucky day for me because I instantly won a Bauhaus Jeans in the raffle.

Then the emcee called out the first speaker who is a travel enthusiast, Ms Patty Laurel. (follow her on twitter) She gave some insights about her passion in travelling & shared some useful tips, too. For me, the best thing she said was to "Invest in Experience". There are some things you just cannot explain to other people unless they experience it. Same goes with travelling.

I just remember, my mom used to be an OFW before when I was a kid. One day, she told me that if fate permits her, she will still work abroad even at her age now. I am already working so I don't see any reason for her to do that, so I asked why. She said that going to another country widens your understanding to different culture & beliefs. Now I am curious and would like to go to other places and create my own journeys.

My first try to vexel using Adobe Illustrator CS3 (^_^). I searched for a high-res image of Angelina Jolie and this is what I've got <click here>. I'm not sure how is long the process because I did this during my free time in the office. (Hihihi..) This gave me back pain & burning feelings in the hand/wrist but its all worth it. I enjoyed doing it and will come up with more digital art soon. J

What is a New Year’s Resolution?

Ayon sa kapita-pitagan kong tropang si Wiki, ang New Year’s Reso daw “is a commitment that a person makes to one or more lasting personal goals, projects, or the reforming of a habit. This goal must be reached by the next New Year. Keep in mind that this is a goal, not a wish and should be something that you as a person could strive for.” Simpleng pakahulugan ngunit malalalim ang pinaghuhugutan.

Hindi ito isang buwang panata o masabi lang na may new year’s resolution ka para makiuso. Hindi ito wish kaya huwag nang mag-isip ng imposibleng bagay na alam mong hindi mo magagawa. Dapat daw madaling abutin o gawin tulad ng pagpapapayat. Pangarap este goal ng mga may kalakihan ang pangangatawan (o chubby para cute). Andyan din ang mga paboritong New Year’s reso na “Hindi na iinom (o kung anung bisyo), malalate at magpapakabuti na.” mga gasgas na linyang bumebenta pa rin.

Naisipan ko rin dating i-take ang hamon ng tradisyong ito ngunit isa rin ako sa karamihang nabigo tulad ng mga hindi pinangalanang tauhan na kumukuha ng hunter exam sa anime na hunter x hunter. Magkagayunman, susubukan ko pa rin baka this time maka-tsamba dahil isusulat ko na sa papel at hindi sa hangin ang mga layunin na gusto kong matupad sa taong ito para ichecheck ko na lang yung mga matutupad. At least hindi na masama kung may iilang check kesa naman bokya. Makabubuti rin ito sa atin life journey upang hindi mo maisip na nasayang ang taon dahil parang walang pinatunguhan ang buhay mo.
